I obtained my degree from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, at the Institute of Asian and African Countries. I’m presently Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. My area of research includes the study and documentation of Pamir-Hindukush languages and cultures, with the focus on ethnolinguistics and the traditions and preservation of endangered languges and their revitalisation. In addition, my research has focused on a number of contemporary minority Iranian languages of Iran and Afghanistan.
