Silvia Negro (1991) is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Trento within the framework of the ERC project FeBo: Federalism and Border Management in Greek Antiquity (PI: Elena Franchi). Her research focuses on Greek History and Epigraphy, with particular attention to the Athenian and Attic context. She received her PhD in Ancient Heritage Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in January 2025, with a dissertation entitled The Deme of Halai Aixonides. A Study of Deme Life in Attica, awarded cum laude and the Doctor Europaeus distinction. In 2025, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Italian Archaeological School at Athens (SAIA), where she further developed this research into a monograph, currently forthcoming in the Historia-Einzelschriften series published by Franz Steiner Verlag and recipient of the Publication Prize of the Istituto Italiano per la Storia Antica.

She studied Classics (BA, 2013) and Archaeology and Ancient History (MA, 2016) at the University of Turin, completing theses in Greek History and Epigraphy. She subsequently earned a Postgraduate Specialization Diploma in Classical Archaeology from the School of Archaeology of Matera (2019). In Spring 2023 she was invited as Visiting Doctoral Researcher at the University of Ottawa (Canada), where she carried out research and academic activities within the Department of Classics and Religious Studies.

She is associated with the Scientific and Review Committee of ELA. The Epigraphic Landscape of Athens, a contributor to Attic Inscriptions Online (AIO) and a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Axon. Iscrizioni storiche greche.
